Eli tässä se mainostettu kuvakertomus Paulin uimalakäynnistä a´la Ruotsi. Ja voin sanoa kokemuksen syvällä rintaäänellä, että olipa hyvä juttu ! Me ei olla kohdattu vastaavaa systeemiä Suomessa. Jos jollain on kokemuksia paikoista jossa koiria uitetaan samalla systeemillä, niin saa heittä meiliä ja antaa informaatiota. Ja tällä tarkoitan, että tiedän toki Eläinsairaalassa tehtävän vastaavanlaista "kuntoutusta" mutta kyselenkin ns. yksityisiä paikkoja. Esim. olemme käyneet Hyvinkään Koirakylpylässä ja siellä ei ollut vastaavaa systeemiä....

Uintivierailu lyhyesti:

- koiralle tehtiin ensin fysioterapeuttinen tsekkaus (nivelien liikkuvuus ym.). Omistajan haastattelu; koiran ikä, kisatausta, uinti kokemus, sairaudet ym. ym.

- mentiin "uimahalliin" jossa ensin suihkutettiin irtokarvat ja lika pois.

- puettiin koiralle sopiva "uimaliivi".

- sitten ohjeistetaan ohjaaja ja päästään hommiin.

- koira viedään rauhallisesti rampille josta se päästetään uimaan (tarkoitus on rauhallisesti) ohjaajan kehoituksesta.

- koira ui  kohti ohjaajaa jolloin henkilökunta pysäyttää koiran naruilla, jolloin koira ui paikallaan ja altaassa on vastavirtaus päällä.

- hetken uituaan koira kutsutaan ohjaajan perässä altaan toiseen päähän lepäämään.

- lepäämisen jälkeen jatketaan uimista.

Ja paikkahan oli Uppsalassa Djurfysiokliniken ja he kysyivät kotisivujen osoitteen saadakseen nähdä kuvat Paulin uinnista. Siksi seuraavassa on selostus myös englanniksi :D Sorry if my english is a bit bad

The place where Pauli was swimming is called Djurfysiokliniken. The personnel was very professionell and very friendly. Thank you for a great experience. Here are some fotos..

Tässä siis pähkinän kuoressa koko tapahtuma ! Ja sitten kuvakertomuksen muodossa...

 then everything is ready for The Real Action ;D

First you have to rinse the dog...

 

And then SWIMMING

.....but first, putting on the west,,,,

Jee , swimming (thinks Pauli )

 Going into the pool should be in "peace" , but Pauli has his own way, as usually..

When the dog is in the pool, he should swim peacefully into the other end of the pool, where the owner is. At first we had some difficulties.....

and Pauli was a bit confused and too exited (as you can see form his face)...

after a good swimming it was time to go and take a good breath and relax...

Then after a while, back to the pool. Pauli had to wait that I went to the other end of the pool; and it went very well

The second try was much better. Pauli had understand what we want him to do and he swam peacefully and steadily, as you can see from pics ....

And then, again a little resting in the other end.

Swimming was very hard trainig for the dog as you can see from Pauli´s face when he is resting.

And the third (and last) swim. That went very well, like a professionel

Good steady swim.

And then going out of the pool. That should also happen peacefully that the dog wouldn´t hurt himself, so we helped a little.

Then a little rinse and drying with towel and blowdryer

And here is a happy and tired swimmer.

Pauli sends greetings to the staff in Djurfysiokliniken. You were great !!

Afterwards Pauli took a little nap in Tiina´s soffa.
